The British Council is partnering with the Brillante Piano Festival for a three-day celebration of music, creativity and technology from September 18 to 20, 2026 , at its Delhi premises.
Khyochano was supported by the British Council to participate in the Association of British Orchestras (ABO) Annual Conference in 2026, highlighting the professional networks fostered through international exchange. Bringing together musicians, educators, artists, technology innovators and audiences, the festival will look at how the piano is evolving in a changing musical landscape. The programme will feature live performances, demonstrations and conversations, offering audiences a glimpse into new approaches to playing, composing and learning. The India-UK creative exchange will be reflected in the participation of musicians and educators including Elena Riu, Indian musician Khyochano and pianist and lecturer Karl Lutchmayer , the first Steinway Artist of Indian origin. Technology will take centre stage through a showcase of the ROLI Seaboard , a digital musical instrument developed by UK-based music technology company ROLI. The showcase will explore how emerging technology can reshape the ways musicians play, compose and learn, while opening up new possibilities for performance and education. Through the festival, the British Council aims to create a space for artists and practitioners from India and the UK to exchange ideas, build connections and engage with the future of music.
