Playback singer-composer Madhubanti Bagchi is stepping into a new chapter with her debut India tour, ‘ This Is Who We Are ’ , scheduled across multiple cities from late 2026 to early 2027.
Bagchi has had a notable run in recent years, with songs such as Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2 , Uyi Amma from Azaad , and Shararat and Ramba Ho from Dhurandhar finding a wide audience. Her repertoire also includes Nazariya Ki Maari from Heeramandi , Peelings from Pushpa 2: The Rule , Barbaadiyan from Shiddat and the indie-pop favourite Ishq Hai from Mismatched .
For years, people have connected with my voice through movie screens and streaming playlists, but ‘This Is Who We Are’ is about breaking down that digital wall,” Bagchi said. “I’ve waited a long time to look my fans in the eye and share this energy with them and it’s going to be an unforgettable, completely live celebration. ” The tour is being produced and promoted by Perfect Harmony Productions. The tour will take Bagchi to Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai , bringing her music directly to audiences in a live concert format. Trained in Hindustani classical music under the Agra Gharana, Bagchi brings that classical grounding into a contemporary sound. Her two-hour live set will draw from both her film and independent music, moving between high-energy numbers and more intimate compositions. The tour also marks a shift from being heard primarily through films and streaming platforms to connecting with audiences in a live setting. Bagchi has promised a fully live performance, backed by a large orchestral ensemble, with no lip-syncing. For the singer, the tour carries a personal significance too, connecting with a family dream of seeing a professional musician emerge from their lineage. “Performing live is where music truly comes alive for me, and this debut tour is the culmination of everything I’ve worked toward.
