Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce purchased a historic 21,000-square-foot lakefront mansion in Bratenahl, Ohio, months before marrying Taylor Swift . He closed the deal in March 2026, negotiating the price down from $5.99 million to $5.35 million. The previous owner, a local construction firm, had picked it up for just $1.95 million in 2023, spent roughly a year restoring it, and relisted at a much higher price. The estate, known as Moyenage, dates back to 1895 and sits along Lake Shore Boulevard in Bratenahl, a small lakefront village just a few miles from Kelce’s hometown of Cleveland Heights. It spans 21,140 square feet across eight bedrooms, eight full and three half bathrooms, seven fireplaces, five garage spaces, and a heated in-ground pool.
The gap between those two numbers tells a bigger story than any celebrity headline can. That is not a house. That is a compound. Original features like carved walnut walls, leaded glass, and marble were preserved throughout the restoration, while modern amenities were added to bring the property up to current luxury standards. The former ballroom was converted into a game room and home theater, and the gatehouse was transformed into a self-contained two-bedroom guest cottage. A new bluestone patio and heated pool overlooking Lake Erie were also added during the renovation.
Figurati Construction Group, a Northeast Ohio renovation firm, purchased the property for $1.95 million in 2023 and set about restoring it from the ground up. Once the work was done, the renovated estate hit the market in mid-2023 at an initial asking price of $6.99 million. The asking price was reduced to $5.99 million in May 2025 before Kelce ultimately bought it for $5.35 million in March 2026, which works out to an 11 percent discount from the reduced price and 24 percent below the original list. The purchase adds a third known U.S. property to Kelce’s holdings, alongside a home in Kansas City, Missouri, and a 17,000-square-foot estate in Leawood, Kansas, where he and Swift got engaged in August 2025.

The Agency Cleveland agents David Ayers and Nick Zawitz, who handled both sides of the sale, described it as “a truly rare Great Lakes estate” that blends preservation with modern updates. “Getting Tay back to Cleveland and showing her my roots is always something I love doing,” Kelce said on his New Heights podcast. This is where the deal gets genuinely interesting. It sat. For almost two and a half years. Even for a buyer with deep pockets who clearly wanted this property near his roots, the numbers show he did not simply write a blank check. Real estate records show the home was acquired through an Ohio LLC formed just days before closing, with tax correspondence directed to André Eanes, Kelce’s longtime business manager. The structure of the purchase is about as deliberate as the negotiation. The location was not accidental. Kelce grew up in Cleveland Heights, and the Bratenahl property sits close enough to feel like home territory rather than a random luxury purchase on a celebrity’s real estate map. He has spoken about his connection to the city openly. His attachment to the area predates the relationship entirely.
