Sony has unveiled the FE 8-14mm F3.5 Fisheye G, expanding its E-mount lens lineup. This marks Sony’s inaugural fisheye zoom lens within the premium G Lens series, specifically designed for full-frame Alpha camera systems.
Targeted at professionals in fields such as architecture, landscape photography, sports documentation, and cinematography, the lens offers ultra-wide capabilities. It is engineered for high-resolution optics and features responsive autofocus. Additionally, it includes specialized video controls, all housed in a lightweight and portable design.
The Sony FE 8-14mm F3.5 Fisheye G lens goes on sale in India starting September 17, 2026. When two units are paired side by side with Sony’s VENICE Extension System Mini, their optical axes measure roughly 64 mm apart. Buyers can purchase the lens through Sony Centers, Alpha Flagship outlets, authorized distribution partners, leading consumer electronics retailers, and major online platforms including Amazon and Flipkart. Sony Fisheye Zoom G Lens features Engineered under Sony’s G Lens standards, the optical layout incorporates Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements alongside specialised aspherical lenses to minimise chromatic aberrations and optical distortion across the focal span. This mirrors average human interpupillary distance, allowing stereoscopic rigs to capture natural depth cues for virtual reality and spatial media workflows.
