18yo youth, sis-in-law killed in truck-bike collision in Kheri
Pilibhit : An 18-year-old youth and his elder brother’s wife were killed after their motorcycle collided head-on with a truck on Khutar-Gola road near Sai temple in Kheri district around 12.15pm on Thursday, police said.
Hyderabad police station SHO Mahesh Pathak said the truck was impounded and its driver was taken into custody. “An FIR will be registered after a written complaint is received,” Pathak said, adding the bodies were sent for postmortem. Mohammad Kaif , a resident of Munda Sarkata village under Mailani police station, was taking Afsar Bano, wife of his elder brother, Mohammad Shariq, to Gola tehsil headquarters to deliver food to his mother, admitted to a govt hospital, when the motorcycle collided with the truck coming from the opposite direction. The impact was severe and both trapped under the truck. Police reached the spot and took them to the community health centre in Gola, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.
