Mumbai: A 19-year-old man, Jainam Jayeshbhai Doshi, was killed and the pillion rider, Dhairya Anil Bhanushali, sustained minor injuries after the motorcycle they were riding skidded near the Godrej signal on Eastern Express Highway in Vikhroli East on Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 7.15am on the service road connecting Ghatkopar and Vikhroli, according to the police. The duo were travelling on a Suzuki Gixxer motorcycle bearing registration number MH-04/HV-3895, when Doshi allegedly lost control of the two-wheeler and it skidded.

Dr Ravi Rathod, chief medical officer at Rajawadi Hospital, declared Doshi dead on arrival. Bhanushali, who sustained minor injuries, is undergoing treatment.

Police rushed the duo to Rajawadi Hospital before the fire brigade reached the spot.
