FIR Filed Against Six for Threatening Ahmedabad Businesswoman
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Ahmedabad’s city crime branch has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against six individuals. They are accused of threatening a 58-year-old businesswoman from Usmanpura and her family over a financial dispute involving ₹19 crore.
The businesswoman reported the threats to the EOW on Thursday. She alleges that these individuals became involved in multiple financial and property transactions with her family starting in February 2024.
A key allegation includes the coercive acquisition of nine cheques, each worth ₹1 crore, from her son under the threat of death. According to the FIR, three of these cheques were deposited but subsequently returned.
The accused are also alleged to have sent abusive messages and made death threats via phone and WhatsApp, demanding further payments.
