Belagavi: Around 750 uniformed personnel, their families, schoolchildren, civil employees, Cantonment residents, and Safai Karmacharis joined a Swachhata Andolan across the Belagavi Military Station and Cantonment. The cleanliness drive covered approximately 15 km of road stretches adjoining 750 acres of the Cantonment, including areas around the Military Hospital, schools, MLIRC, JL Wing and other units and establishments. Participants collected approximately 100 kg of plastic waste, which was disposed of at Turmuri Trenching Grounds under arrangements of the Belagavi Cantonment Board. The drive reinforced cleanliness as a shared and sustained responsibility in the run-up to Oct 2 Swachhata Diwas.
