He alleged that although police had imposed restrictions on DJ sound levels, the orders were not being effectively enforced. Continuous use of high-volume loudspeakers and DJ systems, he claimed, was affecting the health of children, senior citizens and the general public. Police personnel who arrived at the scene attempted to pacify him, explaining that it would not be possible to meet the DC during the night and that the matter could be taken up in the morning. Unhappy with the response, Vallabh questioned whether the DC’s sleep was being given greater importance than the health of children. He insisted that he would remain outside the office until the issue was addressed. Police later assured him that his daughter would be examined at a hospital and that arrangements would be made for him to meet the DC in the morning. Following discussions, he was persuaded to end the protest.
