Separately, candidates must complete choice-filling for the 15% SFI: The wider industry impact

The admission process encompasses government, grant-in-aid, and self-financed institutions that offer courses in Ayurveda and Homeopathy. It includes seats allocated for government, management, and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates under the state quota.

Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) has commenced the first round of online choice-filling for admission to BAMS and BHMS courses for the academic year 2026-27 in Gujarat. The choice-filling process began on Sept 19 for eligible candidates included in the ACPUGMEC merit list. Separately, candidates must complete choice-filling for the 15% SFI all-India quota for BAMS/BHMS seats through another online portal specified by the admission committee.

The process covers govt, grant-in-aid and self-financed institutions offering ayurveda and homeopathy courses, including govt, management and NRI seats under the state quota. Candidates seeking admission to these seats have to complete their choice-filling through the designated portal.

In addition, the concerned college must have obtained the required university affiliation for its seats to be included in the allotment process. Candidates have been advised to complete their choice-filling within the prescribed deadline and regularly check the official admission portal for updates regarding the BAMS and BHMS admission process. The admission committee has also clarified that seats in colleges that receive permission from National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) or National Commission for Homeopathy (NCH) under Ayush ministry before the choice-filling deadline will be considered for seat allocation, provided all required compliance is completed in cases of conditional permission.

As per the schedule, candidates can fill their choices from Sept 19 to 23 until 10am. The choices submitted by candidates will be displayed on Sept 23 at noon.
