Natalia Diamante Bryant was born January 19, 2003, in Los Angeles, the first of Kobe and Vanessa Bryant’s four daughters. She grew up largely out of the public eye compared with her father’s Lakers spotlight, but that changed after Kobe and her younger sister Gianna died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, in January 2020. Natalia recently starred in a Nike commercial promoting the Kobe 3 Protro alongside New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, and she worked as creative director on a Los Angeles Dodgers hype video featuring stars such as Shohei Ohtani and Luka Doncic.
On the academic side, she graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts with a film degree, wearing a red graduation stole honoring her father’s “Black Mamba” logo at the ceremony. Most recently, she fronted a Motorola Razr campaign, posing alongside Paris Hilton in coordinated looks, and said in the promotional video that her interest in fashion began as a kid raiding “her mom’s closet. That film training has already paid off professionally. “
Since then, Natalia has stepped forward as the family’s most visible young adult, appearing alongside her mother at galas, sporting events and industry parties across Los Angeles and beyond.
Her sister Gianna, known as Gigi and a promising basketball player in her own right, died alongside their father in the 2020 crash. Reflecting on finishing her degree while modeling and managing her father’s legacy, she told People in 2024 that having a great support team, family and friends, has been the most important thing. Natalia is the oldest of Kobe and Vanessa Bryant’s four children. Natalia’s two younger sisters, Bianka and Capri, are still school-age, and Natalia frequently appears with them and their mother at family outings, including WNBA games and Dodgers nights at home in Los Angeles. Natalia has spoken about balancing school with a public life. She has also used her platform to keep her father and sister’s memory active, including helping unveil new Kobe and Gianna Bryant-themed courts for young athletes in Los Angeles.
