Former minister Ramanath Rai’s vehicle met with an accident with a private bus at Sanur village on Sunday
Superintendent of police Hariram Shankar said that the accident occurred around 3.30pm on the Karkala-Moodubidire route. Rai was travelling in the SUV along with his PA, Denzel, who sustained a fracture to his right leg. The impact caused extensive damage to the front section of the vehicle, trapping the former minister inside.
Earlier reporting noted: The accident occurred when a private bus travelling from Karkala toward Moodbidri crashed into the SUV in which Rai was travelling.
