Lucknow: On Saturday, the Uttar Pradesh government announced the transfer of 10 senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Notably, Amit Kumar Ghosh has been relieved of his duties as additional chief secretary for health. In addition, Ashish Kumar Goel has been reassigned from his position in the energy department. This reshuffle comes as the government seeks to optimize its administrative structure.
Among other changes, Amrit Abhijat, additional chief secretary, tourism, culture and religious affairs, has been given additional charge of the transport department along with his existing responsibilities. Anil Kumar, principal secretary, panchayati raj, has been shifted as principal secretary, food and civil supplies and consumer affairs commissioner. MN Sundaram, principal secretary, labour and employment and technical education, has been posted as principal secretary, agriculture education and research, and agriculture marketing, agricultural foreign trade and export promotion. Amit Gupta, principal secretary, stamp and registration, has been given additional charge of technical education. Ravindra Ghosh, who was serving as principal secretary, agriculture and handling allied agriculture departments, has been shifted as principal secretary, panchayati raj.
