Nabin described Singh as a “source of pride” for the Dalit community. Nabin, who has been camping in west UP for the past two days, urged people to internalise Sant Shiromani Ravidas’s message of social harmony and equality. Members of the Dalit community presented him with a statue of Sant Ravidas and a book. He later had lunch at the residence of Ajab Singh, president of Shri Ravidas Temple Committee.

The move is also being seen as an attempt by BJP to counter the opposition, particularly Samajwadi Party , which has been aggressively promoting its PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) plank, believed to have dented BJP’s prospects in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The meetings focused on strengthening the party’s organisational structure and reviewing booth-level preparations with an eye on the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He stressed the need to further energise organisational activities and ensure better coordination to deliver the benefits of the double-engine govt’s welfare schemes to 100% of eligible beneficiaries. Nabin said the enthusiasm and energy displayed by party workers indicated that BJP would once again form govt in Uttar Pradesh with a massive majority in 2027.

He said the meal shared at the home of a grassroots Dalit activist was not merely a social visit but a living testament to the core principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and ‘Antyodaya’. The development has put the spotlight on BJP’s bid to consolidate Dalit support in western UP, where the community has a sizeable presence and plays a crucial role in determining electoral outcomes. Nabin emphasised that the party was moving forward by uniting society and bringing together people from every community and region in a spirit of harmony. Later, Nabin presided over several organisational programmes and meetings in west UP, including in Saharanpur and Meerut, where he imparted the mantra for electoral victory to party workers and office-bearers. He reviewed the party’s ongoing activities and programmes and outlined the roadmap ahead. In Saharanpur, he held key meetings with local MPs, MLAs and senior office-bearers. He also interacted with grassroots workers to discuss future political strategies. This was Nabin’s first visit to Saharanpur since assuming the role of BJP national president. He was accompanied by state BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary, state general secretary (organization) Dharampal Singh, national secretary and state co-in-charge Jagdish Patel, national secretary Bhola Singh, state general secretary Ram Pratap Singh, and regional president Nawab Singh Nagar.
