Hyderabad: The Telangana Gazetted Officers (TGO) Association–Doctors Forum and the Telangana Medical and Public Health Doctors Association (TMPHDA) on Wednesday demanded the absorption of eligible in-service doctors as assistant professors under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME).
The associations said the move would help utilise the experience and expertise of in-service doctors in medical colleges. In a representation submitted to DME director Dr Rama Devi, the associations sought a list of eligible doctors from the director of public health and the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP).

The DME office responded positively and assured the associations of extending the necessary support and taking further action, they said. They also sought pay protection for doctors opting for absorption. Download the TOI App.
