Shanmugam also appealed to the voters of Madurantakam to defeat former AIADMK MLA Maragatham Kumaravel, saying that she resigned her post for “some political gains” and joined the ruling party. Now, she has been fielded in the same seat. “What she did was unethical and cannot be forgiven.
