Kochi : More than 1,100 applications were received for the seventh edition of HAC’KP (Hack for Policing) 2026, the flagship innovation initiative of Kerala Police Cyberdome. As many as 50 core participants were selected for the final stage. Shortlisted innovators took part in regional pitching events at 11 venues across six states, where they interacted with police officers, technology experts, mentors and domain specialists. The selected participants will attend a residential boot camp at Crowne Plaza, Kochi, from Oct 5 to 8. The event carries a ₹10-lakh prize pool. The finale will be held alongside c0c0n 2026, with the winners to be announced during the ceremony.

The event, themed “Agentic AI for Investigations – From Evidence to Intelligence”, focuses on developing technology-driven solutions to policing challenges using specialised AI agents and tools. These are intended to help investigators collect, analyse, correlate and interpret information. The initiative places emphasis on human oversight, security and auditability. The four-day programme will focus on refining solutions, product development, technical mentoring, system integration, testing and jury evaluation, followed by final presentations. HAC’KP aims to connect policing requirements with technological innovation and strengthen collaboration among law enforcement agencies, academia, industry, startups and technology professionals. It also seeks to develop practical and scalable applications of AI, automation and advanced analytics in investigations. Download the TOI App.
