The team visited the old and new immersion ponds at the Kapileshwar Temple premises, Jakkeri pond and Killa lake to assess cleanliness, safety measures and public amenities. Officials also inspected designated procession routes and reviewed ongoing road repair works. Following the inspection, mayor Preeti Kamakar directed officials from BCC, L&T and other departments to expedite pending works and ensure the immersion process is conducted smoothly without inconvenience to devotees. Deputy mayor Hanamant Kongali instructed officials to identify and complete all remaining tasks immediately. Commissioner Kartik M directed officials to arrange cranes, mantapas, loudspeakers and drinking water facilities at immersion sites. He also emphasised close coordination with police personnel, lifeguard teams and other departments involved in managing the event. The mayor, deputy mayor and commissioner appealed to Ganeshotsav mandals and the public participating in Friday’s procession to cooperate with police and civic personnel. They urged devotees to maintain peace, discipline and harmony to ensure the successful conduct of the immersion procession.
