Hyderabad : Members of Project 511, comprising prominent personalities from the film fraternity and industrialists, have come together to raise ₹7.75 crore to build a new govt school at Gowlidoddi in Hyderabad’s Financial District. Around ₹4 crore has already been raised, with the ninth edition of the Food For Change gala organised to mobilise further funds for the project.
Suresh Daggubati, MD of Suresh Productions and former trustee of Hyderabad Round Table 8 Charitable Trust, said at a press meet, “The school will have all the modern amenities required for smooth functioning. We also have metrics in place to keep the students afloat after they pass out from the school. The initiative aims to create a govt school where quality infrastructure, teaching and learning opportunities provide students with an environment on a par with private schools.
The school, planned for 840 students, will have 20 classrooms, science and computer laboratories, a library, dining hall, kitchen, sports facilities and landscaped spaces.
