Chief minister V D Satheesan said CIAL’s experience and technical capabilities would serve airports and aviation stakeholders across the country. Kochi: Cochin International Airport Ltd (Cial) is set to offer its expertise in airport development and operations through an aviation consultancy division.
Satheesan said Cial would also develop Kochi airport as a multimodal logistics hub, set up a global convention centre linked to the airport, expand revenue opportunities and improve passenger experience through advanced technology. Cial MD S Suhas said: “Over the past two-and-a-half decades, Cial has built substantial expertise across various domains of airport development and operations. Through Cial Aces, we aim to translate this experience into professional consultancy and expert services for airport and aviation projects in India and abroad. The initiative will also open up a sustainable new revenue stream for Cial. The chief minister also inaugurated Cial’s bridge-mounted equipment service, which supplies electricity to aircraft parked at the airport.
