Pune Rural Police registered the case under sections 296 (obscene acts and songs) and 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against three office-bearers of the Ganesh mandal, three women dancers and a sound-system supplier at Wadgaon Nimbalkar police station on Thursday.
An officer from Pune Rural police said during the immersion procession, the Ganesh mandal had organised a performance by women dancers.
