He said he was in Landhora, Khanpur, attending a roadshow and a public programme from 6.30pm to 11pm and claimed that evidence of his presence was available on social media.
AMROHA: “If the police department turns predator, what can one do?” asked Uttarakhand MLA Umesh Sharma while responding to allegations that four policemen, including two CRPF personnel, allegedly gang-raped a 25-year-old woman at his farmhouse in Amroha’s Hasanpur area. The group allegedly entered the property after threatening the caretaker, according to the police complaint. The four accused — CRPF inspector Lalaram Yadav, CRPF head constable Mohit Singh, Uttar Pradesh Police sub-inspector Sanjay Tomar and constable Pramod — were arrested after the woman approached police alleging that she was sexually assaulted at the farmhouse on Monday night.
