Finding the dog is only the beginning, however, as players also need to track down its missing toys to complete the “Every Dog Has Her Day” side story. The dog appears in multiple locations, and each toy is placed nearby and must be returned to the dog’s bed. Interact with the dog there to complete “Every Dog Has Her Day.” The reward is the Trusted Spanner artefact, which increases Dylan’s raw damage output by 15%. Control Resonant has a rather unusual side story involving a mysterious dog that appears across several zones. Players must find seven dog and toy locations across the game, then make one final visit to The Gap to complete the quest. The mysterious dog can be found across seven zones: West Incursion Zone, Central, Evacuation Zone, Downtown, The Park, Underpass and Unknown. Each location has a corresponding toy to collect and return to the dog. The toys are teal dinosaurs with purple spots, and Chowrap billboards can help point players towards them. The dog is on the roof of a sideways building northwest of the parking garage. Players must complete the fault in the parking garage first to unlock Shift, which lets Dylan move across the sideways and upside-down buildings. Once you reach the dog, look south for a Chowrap billboard. The toy is on a rooftop AC unit to the left of the billboard. Pick it up and return it to the dog’s bed. In Central, the mysterious dog is on a rooftop in the southeast corner of the zone, on a building with a Chowrap billboard. The toy is below another Chowrap billboard in a nearby alley filled with lasers. After collecting the toy, players need to return to the rooftop using the wooden scaffolding and suspended platform, then place it in the dog’s bed. Before reaching the dog in the Evacuation Zone, complete the Subway fault in the northeast part of the zone to unlock Reach. From there, head to the street north of the fast travel door and vendor, and use Reach to get to the rooftop. The toy is on the same rooftop. After you pick it up, look above the area lit by red light to spot the dog. If you have Shift, you can jump across to the other roof. Otherwise, go up the ramp below the dog and jump towards the bed, giving you a brief opportunity to drop the toy inside. The Downtown dog is on a rooftop across from the toy’s location. From the dog, look southeast to spot the toy dinosaur on the nearby rooftop. Players can use Rush, Elevate and air dodge to reach it before returning it to the dog’s bed. The mysterious dog in The Park is in the northeastern corner. Teleport to the Mold Factory fast travel door and head northeast across the rooftops until you reach the dog. The toy is across the street, near an elevator, a Chowrap billboard and the dog. There are two ways to reach it: power the elevator using the power block in the parking lot southwest of the dog, or use a ramp south of the dog with Extended Rush. The dog in the Underpass is at the top of a pillar northeast of the Research Site. To reach it, head to the cable car, use Reach to get onto the pillar attached to it, and continue across the teleporting platforms. Additional Reach points eventually lead to the dog. The toy is on the ceiling. Players can follow the red-carpeted path behind the dog or use the white rectangular box northwest of the dog to Shift onto the ceiling. After grabbing the toy, drop it near the dog, use the Reach point to return to the same surface, then place it in the bed. The final mysterious dog is on a rooftop in the northwest corner of the Unknown zone. Since the compass doesn’t indicate north in this area, use the map to identify the northwesternmost island. Players can reach it using the teleporting platforms made from traffic cones and trash cans. The toy is near a tall building with a dog-patterned billboard and a bar sign. Players need to navigate across the rooftops and use Shift to reach the upper levels before collecting the toy and gliding back to the dog. Finding all seven dogs and returning their toys does not immediately complete the side story.
