Prayagraj : The number of vacancies reported so far for Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission’s ( UPPSC ) Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination (PCS) 2026 has risen to 728, up from the 500 posts mentioned in the recruitment advertisement issued on June 25.
Vacancies Across Government Departments Highlight Employment Opportunities
The MSME and Export Promotion Department has announced 56 vacancies for Assistant Commissioners in Industry. Additionally, the Labour Department is looking to fill 16 positions for Labour Enforcement Officers. The Food Safety and Drug Administration has 17 openings for Food Safety Officers, while the Excise Department has 14 vacancies for Excise Inspectors.
Other notable vacancies include five positions in the Finance Department, eight administrative roles in the Secretariat Administration Department, and 13 posts for District Social Welfare Officers and equivalents. There are also seven vacancies for District Probation Officers, four each for District Supply Officers and District Commandants of Home Guards, four Assistant Commissioners for Khadi and Village Industries, and two District Panchayat Raj Officer positions.
