Pilibhit : An FIR was registered against a man and three members of his family after his 25-year-old wife alleged sexual assault, voyeurism and harassment over dowry demands.
She alleged that her husband, his two elder brothers and their mother harassed her for Rs 1 lakh, three gold rings and a Bullet motorcycle. The woman, a resident of a village under Barkhera police station, said she married a man from a village under Nawabganj police station in Bareilly two years ago. When she complained to her mother-in-law about the alleged rape bid and secret filming, she was threatened with death and told to remain silent, she alleged. “I tolerated the harassment for the sake of my one-year-old son, but was forced out of my marital home 15 days ago despite mediation by local community members,” she said in her complaint.
She also alleged that her husband forced her to watch pornographic videos before subjecting her to sexual abuse.
