Ahmedabad : A 26-year-old man alleged that his wife and five others subjected him to mental harassment, demanded money from him and performed black magic rituals on him as part of a conspiracy. The complainant, who is originally from Siddhpur, married the woman in 2025 when she was residing in Maharashtra . He said the woman showed him photographs of tantriks on her mobile phone and introduced him to two such individuals. The man alleged that his wife repeatedly demanded money after their marriage and threatened to implicate him in false cases if he refused, according to the complaint. The complainant also alleged that his wife told him she had been in relationships with several other men and that he had been brought into her life only temporarily through black magic. A police complaint was initially registered at Siddhpur and later transferred to Chandkheda police for investigation. He further claimed that she subjected him to mental harassment and made humiliating remarks. He alleged that she later contacted him through a video call along with her mother, during which a tantric ritual was purportedly performed on him. The husband specifically alleged that a woman tantric conducted rituals on him on two occasions and claimed that his health deteriorated afterwards. The complaint names the wife, her mother and four others as accused, alleging that they acted in concert to harass him and extract money under the guise of tantric practices. Download the TOI App.
