Kochi: Cochin International Airport Ltd (Cial) is set to strengthen its connectivity to key international and domestic destinations with additional flight operations in this year’s winter schedule, including four weekly services to Bangkok. The Bangkok service will be operated by Air India Express.
The winter schedule from Oct 26, 2026, to March 28, 2027, features 1,766 scheduled weekly flight movements, comprising 885 arrivals and 881 departures. The schedule connects Kochi with 32 airport destinations — 13 domestic and 19 international — by 28 airlines, with an average of around 252 scheduled flight movements a day, said a Cial official.
Cial MD S Suhas said the airport operator has been trying to establish greater regional connectivity across the country. “We have devised plans to further enhance the passenger experience, including services such as home baggage collection and improved facilities for passengers requiring special assistance,” he said.
The airport’s winter schedule will further connect Kochi with 13 airports across the Gulf region, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Riyadh, Muscat, Sharjah, Jeddah, Bahrain, Dammam, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Salalah, accounting for 327 weekly arrivals. Cial’s domestic network comprises 13 destinations and 465 weekly arrivals, with Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai among the major destinations by frequency. IndiGo tops weekly movements with 638 operations.
Bengaluru and Mumbai lead the domestic frequency charts, whereas Abu Dhabi leads the international. Dubai is the second-largest international origin city.
