The homes of India’s cricket stars can look very different from each other, but there’s one thing they have in common: these aren’t just expensive addresses.
Virat Kohli’s property portfolio stretches from Mumbai to Alibaug, but his 10,000-square-foot home in Gurugram’s DLF Phase 1 is one of the properties most often mentioned in reports. Their 2022 land purchase was reported at around ₹19 crore, while their completed villa has since been widely reported at around ₹32 crore. The cricketer bought a four-bedroom apartment in Ahuja Towers, Worli, for around ₹30 crore in 2015. The 29th-floor home offers a roughly 270-degree view of the Arabian Sea and Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Recent reporting by NDTV describes the roughly 6,000-square-foot apartment as having four bedrooms, a study or library, entertainment space and a walk-in wardrobe. Outlook Luxe has estimated the 6,000-square-foot bungalow at ₹100-150 crore. The property was reconstructed on a plot Tendulkar bought for ₹39 crore in 2007, according to reports cited by Moneycontrol.
The cricketer and Anushka Sharma also own a villa in Alibaug. The property has a temperature-controlled pool, garden, jacuzzi, staff quarters and other amenities. Rohit Sharma went in a completely different direction. His home is high above Mumbai rather than spread across acres. Sachin Tendulkar’s Bandra home is another property that regularly appears on lists of India’s most expensive cricketer residences.

The plot covers 23.6 kottahs, and Ganguly bought the property jointly with family members. For Sourav Ganguly, the story is slightly different.
