PWD Minister Parvesh Verma reportedly slapped a young man named Saheb
NEW DELHI: The young man seen being slapped by Delhi PWD Minister Parvesh Verma during a road inspection in Tilak Nagar has said he was at the spot after the PWD department called him and others to assess the condition of the road. Identified as Saheb, the man said he showed Verma how the road surface was breaking apart before the minister allegedly raised his hand against him and his associates threatened to kill him. Saheb said he handles all social media activities for the local MLA and had accompanied the team for the road inspection. When this was pointed out, the Minister couldn’t handle it; he raised his hand against me, and his associates threatened to kill me,” Saheb said.
“I handle all social media activities for the MLA. We came here after the PWD department called us to inspect the condition of this road. I showed him how the road surface was breaking apart.
He must apologize, and whatever disciplinary action is required—such as suspension—should be taken,” Saheb said. Saheb also said the incident was captured on video and that he had approached the police. We have lodged an FIR and will pursue further action,” he said.
“The police were present right there, and all of this happened in their presence. “We aren’t just making claims; there is video evidence of everything. Action must be taken.
