The snake entered the house and bit the baby while the child was sleeping on a bed as the mother, Swapna, attended to household work, according to Narlapur sub-inspector A Kamalakar. Swapna noticed froth coming from the baby’s mouth a few minutes later. The parents declined to reveal further details about the incident. Download the TOI App.
She and her husband, Thirupathi, rushed the child to a primary health centre, where the baby died during treatment on Sunday evening.
