He told police that when his mother called Naveen, he had informed her about the assault by Kavitha. Kavitha told police that Naveen fell to the floor and hit his head while she was untying the noose, sustaining injuries. She also told police that she had not assaulted him with any object.

Bengaluru: A 46-year-old private car driver was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his home in Laggere Saturday night, with his family alleging that his wife may have been involved in his death. Around 8.30pm Saturday, Kavitha alleged Naveen assaulted her, following which she retaliated and left home with their child.
Her husband was an alcoholic and often returned home drunk after work, according to Kavitha. The deceased, Naveen Kumar , a resident of Laggere in north Bengaluru, was a native of Hassan. He was married to Kavitha , and the couple have a child. He would frequently pick fights with her, suspecting her over everything she did.
When she returned after some time, she found the door locked from inside. With the help of neighbours, she forced open the door and found Naveen hanging. They rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
