The new IT park is being proposed by the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) as part of the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (Bhavya) scheme, according to official sources. Hyderabad: The Telangana govt has proposed an IT park at Madaram village in Ghatkesar, in the eastern part of the city, apart from other industrial parks exclusively for semiconductors, hardware and engineering machinery at other locations. At present, there are some IT campuses at Pocharam near Ghatkesar, and the Telangana govt wants to decentralise IT parks around the Greater Hyderabad region.
If the Centre insists on manufacturing units, the plans have to be changed for Madaram park,” a senior official of TGIIC said.
The scheme aims to establish 100 industrial parks across the country, with each park spread over an area of 100 to 1,000 acres. About Rs 33,600 crore has been earmarked for the scheme, which will be released over six years from 2026 to 2032. The Telangana govt is proposing these four industrial parks, each spread in over 500 acres, and land is ready at all four locations.
The Bhavya scheme is being implemented by the Centre to generate employment opportunities on the outskirts of metro cities, according to officials.
