Construction of the 36-metre-wide DP road (Baner Pashan Link Road) passing through survey nos. Only about 200m of the 1.2km road remained to be acquired, according to PMC officials. Around Rs68 crore in total was paid to acquire the required land, officials said, even as citizens welcomed the move and demanded that the administration complete the works at the earliest. Residents said they now hope the stretch near Jayshree Stores and Kumar Sahavas society can be completed after the latest development. Rajendra Chuttar, president of the Baner Pashan Link Road Citizens Group, said PMC should provide clarity to people about project works. PMC announced that it has wrapped up land acquisition on Monday for a pending stretch to finish the much-delayed Baner Pashan Link Road missing link.
