Pune: The Pune rural police have submitted pictures procured from tourists who had visited Lohgad Fort on June 18 and inadvertently captured Ketan Agarwal, Siya Goyal and Chetan Choudhary in the background to the court along with a 5,300-page chargesheet. Filed in court on Sept 19 the chargesheet also includes statements by eyewitnesses and various other people, information about social media accounts and other digital evidence. Police said a study of Siya’s messages revealed that she had told several people that she did not wish to marry Ketan.
“The man asked them to not do anything like that,” Gill said. The police have also recorded the statement of a Bengaluru-based witness in the case. Siya and Chetan allegedly contacted him to learn about spots where Ketan could be beaten up, killed or even mutilated. Senior advocate Ujjwal Nikam will soon be appointed as the special public prosecutor for the court proceedings in the Ketan Agarwal murder case. The Pune rural police have completed the process for his appointment.
