Police said Siddhesh Abhange, affiliated with the ruling Shiv Sena, was allegedly attacked inside the police station after both sides approached the station to resolve the monetary dispute. An argument broke out between the two sides inside the station premises, according to police. Police said the process of registering an FIR was underway and statements from both sides were being recorded as part of the investigation.
A businesswoman, accompanied by an associate, allegedly assaulted Abhange during the altercation. On-duty police personnel intervened and separated the parties, bringing the situation under control.
