CHENNAI: A 28-year-old man was hacked to death outside his house in Triplicane after two women who visited his home called him outside on Monday night.
Two women came to Ajith’s house when he was at home with his parents, Natarajan and Sarasammal and asked to speak to him, according to police. Police were searching for the four suspects involved in the murder. Ajith suffered injuries to his head and face and died at the spot. His parents rushed to his rescue. During the incident, the assailants also threatened them with knives, and Sarasammal suffered an injury to her hand while attempting to help her son. Ice House police reached the scene after receiving information and recovered Ajith’s body and sent to a Govt Royapettah Hospital for post-mortem examination. Sarasammal was admitted to the GH for treatment. Police registered a murder case. Investigators were examining whether the attack was linked to a previous dispute. Police reviewed the CCTV footage from the area and were analysing it to identify the suspects. The four suspects, including the two women, escaped on a two-wheeler. Cops are tracking their movements.
