The deceased is Chandra K ,67, an autorickshaw driver from Kasaragod in Kerala . Mangaluru : A person died and two others sustained injuries after a goods autorickshaw hit a car that was driven by a judge on Tuesday morning within the Mangaluru traffic east police station limits.
The judge was driving his car towards the district court complex around 10 am, according to the complaint filed. Due to the impact, the autorickshaw overturned and hit a scooter. The autorickshaw driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, crossed to the right side of the road, and collided with the front-right portion of the car.
When he reached Radha Medicals, a goods autorickshaw allegedly being driven at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner, came from the court side towards the medical store. The scooter rider fell on the road and sustained injuries. The judge driving the car also sustained minor injuries.
Traffic East police station has registered a case under Sections 281, 125(a) and 125(b) of the BNS and Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Stay updated with the latest Mangaluru news.
