Bengaluru: The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore Alumni Association (IIMBAA) community raised Rs over 20.1 lakh to support a student who was seriously injured in an accident .

The student met with the accident on Aug 15 and was admitted to Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, in a coma. An appeal for financial assistance was shared with the alumni community on Sept 25, with an initial fundraising target of Rs 18 lakh. By the end of the campaign, 267 alumni had contributed Rs 20.11 lakh, while many others amplified the appeal within their networks and reached out to fellow alumni to mobilise support, said a release from the association.
