Kanpur: A 52-year-old man died under suspicious circumstances on Monday morning while working at an RO plant on Nawabganj Mainwati Marg.
His brother Avadesh informed police that operations at the plant had remained suspended for the past few days due to waterlogging caused by rain. However, the family of the deceased, Shesh Babu Awasthi has alleged that they were not informed about what happened to him inside the plant.
A preliminary investigation suggests that the death may have been caused by electrocution after rainwater accumulated at the plant, allowing electric current to spread through the premises, according to Nawabganj inspector Rajkesar.
