Kolkata: Jadavpur University (JU) VC Chiranjib Bhattacharjee formed an inquiry commission to probe the alleged irregularities in connection with the recruitment processes of five officials, including deputy registrar, engineering faculty secretary, science faculty secretary, dean of students, and placement and training officer. The commission is headed by Calcutta high court retired judge, Pranab Kumar Deb. Other members, include MAKAUT VC Tapas Chakraborty, higher education department senior special secretary, Chandani Tudu. Acting registrar Debajit Dutta is the presenting officer. Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) had earlier demanded a probe by CID or CBI for these alleged irregularities.
