The oldest item in the collection is a newspaper report on the death of Kasturba Gandhi published on Feb 23, 1944. Thrissur : Old issues of The Times of India dating to the period of the freedom movement are among the exhibits at an exhibition organised in Thrissur to mark the 157th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi . The two-day exhibition is being hosted by the All Kerala Bank Retirees Cultural Association. The exhibits are from the collection of association activist N S Vijayakumar. News reports, articles, poems and photographs related to Gandhiji from other publications are also on display.
The exhibition, which began at the Kerala Sahitya Akademi on Thursday, showcases materials documenting Gandhi’s life and various protest movements, as well as newspaper reports and publications covering significant events, including his death.
