30,000 schoolgirls in Pune to get Asmita Dignity kit
Pune: On the occasion of Daughters’ Day, the Rotary Club of Bibvewadi Pune announced the initiative to distribute 30,000 Asmita Dignity kits among adolescent girls in 200 schools across Pune. Through Asmita 2026, we want to take this message directly to schools and support girls with dignity kits that address their everyday needs. With Asmita 2026, the Rotary Club is taking the initiative back to schools, with a focus on equipping adolescent girls with essential resources and promoting confidence and preparedness.
Speaking on the occasion, Rtn Reena Sheth of Rotary club of Bibvewadi shared, “Every girl deserves to grow up with dignity, confidence and access to basic resources. Launching the initiative on Daughters’ Day makes the occasion especially meaningful for us. The Asmita initiative, which began with a focus on menstrual health awareness, has expanded over the years to address dignity, safety, skills and opportunities for girls.
