In a representation to the principal, the forum alleged that drinking water filters were not functioning properly and that the water was often dirty and unhygienic. It also raised concerns over unclean corridors, poorly maintained washrooms, non-functional toilets and inadequate water supply. Concerns were also raised over the quality and hygiene of hostel food. The forum urged the university to immediately inspect all hostels and take corrective measures to ensure clean drinking water, proper sanitation, functional toilets, adequate water supply, hygienic food and suitable room accommodation.
