The campaign will conclude on Oct 31. Kanpur: District magistrate Mahendra Singh Tanwar flagged off a month-long special communicable disease control campaign at Manyavar Kanshiram Combined Hospital and Trauma center in Rama Devi on Thursday.
He instructed the authorities to ensure availability of essential medicines at the hospital and that any systemic shortcomings or resource gaps in the health services available at the hospital be immediately identified and reported, so that necessary action can be taken in a timely manner.
He said, adding that special emphasis would be placed on cleanliness and timely detection and treatment of diseases. The DM also administered a pledge to those present regarding the prevention and control of communicable diseases. He stated that cleanliness, awareness, and timely treatment were crucial for the prevention of communicable diseases. During the campaign, teams from health and other relevant departments would raise awareness about prevention of communicable diseases. After the launch of the campaign, the DM inspected Manyavar Kanshiram Combined Hospital and Trauma Center. He reviewed the registration counter, OPD, patient management system, availability of medicines, diagnostic centres, and the laboratory and issued necessary instructions. He also inquired with officials about the daily number of patients visiting the OPD and the arrangements made for their treatment. The DM stated that, in line with the govt’s intent, quality and timely treatment must be provided to every patient. Doctors and concerned officials should ensure that every patient is treated with respect and receives necessary tests, medicines, and treatment on time.
