Bengaluru: High Court refused to quash investigation/proceedings against three govt officials accused of creating fake documents for five acres of tank bund land at Navaratna Agrahara, Jala hobli, Bengaluru North taluk.
Ramamurthy and Manjunath argued that between 2008 and 2012, when they worked in Yelahanka, there was no complaint against them for manipulating documents. M Ramamurthy, a surveyor at the time, BR Manjunath, tahsildar, Bengaluru North additional taluk, and village accountant Sandeep Singh , had challenged the investigation and proceedings initiated by ACB/Lokayukta police. They allegedly created documents by holding separate phodi (measurement) for the five acres and assigning a separate survey number for the land parcel.

Rejecting the contention, Justice HP Sandesh said that when subsequent revenue officials and employees of the survey department allege that their signatures are forged and both revenue and survey documents created, an investigation must take place. Download the TOI App.
