Kolkata: The mother of the RG Kar rape-murder victim and Panihati BJP MLA Ratna Debnath has alleged lapses in the investigation against CBI officer Seema Pahuja, who was earlier in charge of the case.

Debnath said she would not be satisfied until her daughter received justice and demanded an impartial inquiry against Pahuja. Earlier we repeatedly raised questions over the investigation conducted under Pahuja’s leadership,” the Panihati MLA said. “ I’m not satisfied with the CBI’s investigation so far. The Calcutta High Court on Thursday transferred the investigation into the victim’s cremation dispute from Khardah police to the CBI, cautioning the inspector-in-charge and investigating officer against interfering in the HC-monitored CBI SIT probe.
