Hyderabad : Union home minister Amit Shah will begin a day-long visit to Telangana on Sunday, with programmes scheduled in Medak and Karimnagar districts.
Shah is scheduled to arrive at Begumpet airport around 9 pm on Saturday and stay overnight at Lok Bhavan, sources said.
Though no separate slot has been earmarked for meetings with Telangana BJP leaders, party sources said some leaders could get an opportunity to interact with Shah in Karimnagar. The BJP has not scheduled any public meeting during the visit, and party sources described the tour as primarily official in nature. Discussions, if they take place, may touch upon organisational matters and the newly-appointed Telangana BJP leadership team.
Shah is also expected to interact with students of Prathima Medical College and address the gathering. The interaction with students is likely to be one of the key highlights of his Karimnagar programme.
