WWE star Sheamus has officially become a free agent after 20 years, ending his run with the company. FightFul confirmed on October 2, 2026, that the former WWE Champion is now officially a free agent. Earlier, Fightful Select reported that he was set to depart WWE after his contract expired.

Meanwhile, AEW is reportedly expected to be interested in the veteran wrestler, however, nothing has been confirmed so far by the WWE Champion as of yet. As per reports, Sheamus has not competed since the November 17, 2025, episode of Monday Night Raw , after which he underwent shoulder surgery. He has been with the company since 2006, and during his tenure, he has reigned and received several coveted achievements, including the WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, United States Championship, Raw Tag Team Championship, and SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
