School administrator Anil Verma said the student’s father expressed regret over his son’s conduct and accepted the LC. Ahmedabad: Jeevan Sadhana School in Bapunagar expelled a Class XI boy after he allegedly assaulted three girl students outside the school gate, following a dispute that began in the classroom over his alleged behaviour towards them. After they complained to their class teacher, the teacher reportedly reprimanded him. The student allegedly became agitated and attempted to confront the teacher. The matter escalated after school hours when the student allegedly stopped the three girls outside the school gate and attacked them with punches and kicks. One of the girls allegedly suffered an ear injury and began bleeding, while another reportedly fell unconscious after the assault. Local residents and passers-by intervened, caught the student and handed him over to the school authorities. The incident triggered an angry reaction from the girls’ parents, prompting the school management to call the parents of all the students involved for a meeting. The management subsequently decided to remove the boy from the school and issued him a leaving certificate (LC). The matter later reached Bapunagar police station. Since accused student was a minor, the girls’ parents reportedly decided against filing a formal police complaint. Police summoned the boy and his family, counselled him and obtained a written apology and undertaking against repeating such behaviour.
The alleged assault took place on Thursday, after three girls complained about the student from humanities repeatedly staring at them in the classroom, according to the school.
