Singh said Gandhi’s message of peace and non-violence was more relevant than ever amid conflicts in different parts of the world, including Ukraine, the Middle East, Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, Myanmar and Ethiopia’s Tigray region. He said wars destroy lives, livelihoods and opportunities, while lasting peace is essential for development and humanity’s secure future. He said Gandhi’s emphasis on truth was equally important in an era of misinformation and mistrust.
